Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignancy in men in the United States. Moreover, it is the second leading cause of cancer death. About 180,000 cases are reported and nearly 40,000 men die from prostate cancer annually. In addition, countless others will suffer the effects of advanced disease but succumb to “other” causes.
