At least twice each year, in April and in September during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the Program offers free on-site screening at the Dickstein Center. This consists of a blood test and a DRE (digital rectal exam). Results of your PSA are reported within 72 hours and results of the DRE are reported at the screening visit. If the results of the DRE appear positive, the screening may be followed by a recommendation for a biopsy to make a thorough diagnosis
