Henry J. Lee, MD,
PhD, a radiation oncologist, came to the Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center
in 2001 from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. A highly
respected oncologist, Dr. Lee is an expert in conformal radiation therapy,
brachytherapy and stereotactic treatments. He is a leader in Intensity-Modulated
Radiation Therapy (IMRT), the most advanced radiation treatment for cancer.
While at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, he conducted clinical and technical
research focused on developing IMRT for all types of cancer. His team
devised innovative digital image fusion techniques to accurately guide
radiation therapy and engineered new stereotactic devices to precisely
deliver treatment. He has expertise with brachytherapy and biological
imaging for malignancies. The technologies advanced by Dr. Lee and others
are changing the way radiation therapy is delivered in the 21st century.
Dr. Lee treats all types of cancer at the Dickstein Cancer Center. He
holds multiple advanced degrees from the University of Chicago and attended
the University’s combined degree program as a recipient of the prestigious
National Institute of Health MD, PhD scholarship program. He is the author
of textbook chapters, editorials and dozen of peer-reviewed manuscripts.
He is a member of the American Society for Clinical Oncology, American
Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Brachytherapy
Society, American Academy of Neurology, and many other societies.
